Mid Wales Geology Club was founded in 1997 and is affiliated to the Geologists' Association. There is a footpath over the river from the Bus Station Car Park. We have a programme of lectures and field trips to mines, quarries, river sections and other exposures throughout Mid Wales and the Borders. If you are interested, join us. We have visited many of the best exposures throughout Mid Wales and the Marches, investigating its geological history and mineralisation. Our beautiful countryside has been the key to the development of the science of geology since the times of Murchison and Sedgwick.
